  • Borne, brought up, educated and married at Dehra Dun, Tarun Vijay has worked for Years in Garhwal region for RSS and also participated IN SAVE DEMOCRACY MOVEMENRT DURING EMERGENCY. He estabslished Vani parishad , an organization for the Youth and spread Vivekananda Youth Mahamandal under the guidance of Ramakrishna Mission. During college days he helped established a school for poor Garhwali children near Rajpur and helped destitute patients at Doon Hospital.

    Presently: Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha), National Spokesperson BJP, Hon. Director, Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee Research Foundation, an ideological think tank based on the Nationalist school of thought at the BJP Head Quarters, New Delhi.

    Author of over 2,000 articles in English and Hindi in national media such as: The Times of India, Hindustan Times, The Pioneer, The Statesman, The Indian Express, The Vijay Times, Blitz, The Outlook and many others. Regular columnist for more than 22 newspapers including The Times of India, Amar Ujala, Dainik Jagran, Navabharat Times, Tarun Bharat, Vijay Karnataka etc. Was Editor of Panchjanya for two decades, initiated Panchjanya Awards to mark golden jubilee under the chairmanship of Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee, the first editor of Panchjanya.
    He has been quoted and written about in The Financial Times of London and The New York Times (Sunday 2nd Feb, 2003).
    National and international television media including Indian, Australian, British and European have interviewed Mr. Vijay on India's political-social issues.
    Mr. Vijay was the only editor known in South Asia to have taken the initiative to launch a "Peace Agenda Initiative" collaborating with the largest circulation daily newspaper in Pakistan, Daily Jang between the two nuclear countries who have fought several wars. This initiative was a big hit and was greatly appreciated in both the countries.
    Worked as a full time worker of Vanavasi Kalyan Ashram for five years in Dadra Nagar Haveli.
    Had the distinction to get CentraL Govt. grant for Kailas Manasarovar Yatris for the first time in Indian post independence history. Now, seven Indian state governments also give grants to Yatris making his efforts successful.
